 Photography Changes Everything Article

When I think about Photography I think of film and polaroid cameras. These are the types of cameras that come to mind because they are my desired form of photography. I enjoy developing the film and just having the pictures that I have taken in physical form right then and there.

Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was twelve years old. When thinking of what I wanted to do when I grew up and went to college I had no idea that "photography [would be] essential to each of" (Heiferman) my choices. Eventually I decided that I wanted to be a Criminal Psychologist and eventually work for the FBI as a profiler.

Not only is photography used in the Criminal Justice system but it is very important when it comes down to crime scene photos, "photographs don't only show us things, they do things." (Heiferman)

Crime scene images can do a lot in an investigation. There are even specific chemicals that are used to illuminate blood or other bodily fluids after they have been cleaned up. These are called Luminol photos. "Photography excites us to the point that it makes us greedy to see more" (Heiferman) nothing can be more true then this statement when it comes down to taking crime scene photos. You have photos documenting the scene and photos of evidence.

Overall when I think of photography I think about the physical picture, there are many other aspects to photography and many ways to look at it or think about it. And that is what makes it such an amazing and never-ending way to capture a moment.
